Both Pearl and Diamond we're adopted together and are living their greatest life. Pearl inspired Margo to write a book (illustrated by Savannah Bell): "Good Girl Pearl', to help bring attention to dogs in rescue and aid in fundraising so we can assist even more dogs, just like Pearl.

Our Mission at Mattie's Place is to find compatible permanent families for pets without a home to call their own.
We partner with shelters & rescues both locally & internationally to provide fast response for shelter over-flow to avoid the euthanasia of healthy adoptable dogs.
We rescue approximately 200 dogs per year and most come into the care of Mattie’s Place with urgent medical needs.
With a passion for everything pets, Denise decided the best way to help pets in need was to open a rescue and support centre.
Though most of our rescue pets come from Ontario via owner surrenders & shelter over-flow, we also partner with shelters & rescues internationally.
